SIXT Rental Cars at Geneva Airport

Sixt has a rental desk in the Swiss and French part of Geneva Airport. The car rental desks are located in Arrivals. Both terminals are within a short walk of each other, and a shuttle takes customers with car rental reservations to and from the P51 car park, where pick-up and drop-offs take place. The minimum age for renters is 20 years. Drivers aged below 25 pay a Young Drivers fee, which is added daily to the rental costs. The basic rate includes unlimited kilometers and, during the winter sports season, also winter tires. Extras customers can choose from Sixt Geneva Airport include GPS, invoices by traditional post and additional drivers.

The Sixt fleet at GVA includes the Mercedes-Benz A-class, Renault Megane and Renault Captur Automatic and, in the Premium range, the BMW 1-Series limousines and Ford Edge SUVs.

If you didn't make a reservation at GVA or online, you can still get Sixt car rental in the center of Geneva, where another depot is located. The city of Geneva, at beautiful Lake Geneva or as it is called in French, Lac Léman, is overlooked by Europe's highest peak, the Mont-Blanc. Geneva is only 4.8 km away from the airport, and lies at the southern tip of Lake Geneva. At its northern end lies Montreux, one of the world's most famous venues for Jazz festivals.

Cities like Chamonix and Saint Gervais are less than 1.5 hours' drive from Geneva. On motorways in Switzerland the maximum speed limit is 120 km/h, on open roads it is 80 km/h and in urban areas drivers should not exceed 50 km/h.
